The City of Peachtree Corners Street Resurfacing Project involved resurfacing 38 city streets across 11 subdivisions, with work including milling, patching, OGI (Permaflex), topping, and Full Depth Reclamation (FDR). The contract amount was $3 million, and the project was completed within three months. The quantities of materials used included 2,250 tons of OGI (Permaflex), 9,150 tons of 19mm patching, 8,450 tons of 9.5mm topping, 12,000 square yards of FDR, and 65,000 square yards of milling. A unique challenge occurred in the River Place subdivision, where milling revealed soft soils across the entire area. The Surface Masters team quickly identified the need for FDR to strengthen the base before topping could be applied. Thanks to the ability to self-perform, the Surface Masters asphalt team was able to address this issue promptly, ensuring the subdivision was properly prepared for topping.
