The Sam’s Club project in Brunswick, GA, involved sealcoating and line striping a 294,000-square-foot parking lot. The scope of work included applying 5,880 gallons of sealcoat and restriping 38,000 linear feet, including curbs, using 125 gallons of paint. The project was initially planned to be completed in four phases during the day; however, due to high traffic volumes, frequent deliveries, and customer activity, the schedule was adjusted to six phases, with two requiring overnight work.
As a self-performing contractor, we adapted to these changes seamlessly, completing the work without additional costs to the client while ensuring minimal disruption to Sam’s Club operations. The project also required additional precautions due to high pedestrian and bicycle traffic in the area, necessitating extra barricades and vigilant safety measures. Additionally, Sam’s Club’s unique requirements included the use of four different custom arrow stencils, which had to be specially ordered. Despite these challenges, the project was completed efficiently and safely, meeting all client expectations.
